My name is Kestrelwing
I am Deputy of WindClan
I am about 28 moons
I am a small brown tom with a few faint white stripes. My eyes are an icy and eerie blue. I am lithe and strong despite my "weaknesses". My right fore-paw is twisted from an accident as an apprentice. My fur is usually sleek for a WindClan cat but is rough from the suns rays during the hot green leaf. My claws are sharp, like thorns that prickle your skin.
Most cats say that I am a gentle and caring tom. My outgoing nature is one of my best qualities, though I admit I am quite stubborn when it comes to proving my point or when I want to discuss issues that may concern my Clan and its members. I always and am willing to put myself in danger for the sake of my clan. My Clan-mates and this Clan mean more to me than they will ever know and understand. I guess I would consider myself a quite intelligent cat. I know that I am not very confident but as deputy, I feel more confident in myself everyday that passes.
My history.... is a touchy subject. i don't like to talk about it very much but I might as well tell you my past. First off, I never ever want to be deputy when I was an apprentice and a young warrior. I guess I thought, "How could a cat with a twisted paw and a twisted leg ever become deputy and perhaps a future leader of WindClan?" Well, I found out it IS possible to become deputy.
As a kit, I admit, I was a bit adventurous with my sisters, Icekit and Featherkit. We got into a heap of trouble trying to sneak out of camp and failing after many, many attempts. Other than that it was an uneventful kithood.
As an apprentice, my sisters and I were busy training and hunting. The camp was raided once by a rival Clan.My sister, Icepaw and I only had a few bites and wounds.Our sister, Featherpaw had been wounded very badly but survived her throat wound. A few days later, my mentor, Blackfur and I were hunting. We were warned like all the other warriors to watch out for twoleg traps. As I leaped for a mouse, I landed on a fox trap. The trap twisted my paw and leg. While I was in the Medicine cat den, my sisters were made warriors. Once I was well enough to train, my Clan-mates didn't think I could ever be made a warrior. My right paw had been permanently twisted and the same with my leg.My leg had also been weakened. I admit, it was at times I couldn't walk. I trained hard and finally after 3 long hard moons I was made warrior. My leg strengthened over time and still is growing stronger.
As a warrior, I loved to go on patrols with his sister, Icefur. Featherheart had died of Blackcough. The two of us were always making jokes and making fun of each other.
Once I was made deputy, I never forgot my sense of humor. I still acted like an apprentice let out of camp for the first time sometimes. I act serious, of course, more often now, than I want to be. I always like to have a bit of fun. But the needs of the Clan come first and I will always be willing to sacrifice my life for a Clan-mate or for the Clan.
